Be. Seen is a mind, body, spirit sibling support group designed for school-aged siblings of individuals with special and unique abilities and needs.
Siblings of children with these considerations can sometimes feel isolated, overlooked, and need a space for emotional support, cognitive processing, and body integration. We SEE you! That is why at Be. we offer a group designed specifically with those needs in mind.
Be. Seen is a group that meets biweekly, and the group design is structured around two types of meetings. This is Week 2: The Process Oriented Group
WEEK Two: Process
This week is a process oriented group where the participants are able to feel seen and supported as they are invited to freely discuss life experiences in a safe and nurturing space with individuals who are moving through similar situations. This portion of the session will also be used to help participants feel heard, validated, and understood as they learn additional ways to cope with areas of stress associated. We will gather together in the comfortable, nourishing Be. Uplifted studio to foster a sense of connection and closeness.
When: Wednesday, September 6th at 5:30pm
Guided by: Jaycie Westphal
Location: Be Uplifted Suite (Third Floor)
Cost: $50 per session
Max participants: 8
Age Range: School Aged Siblings (recommended 10 - 17 years of age)
Participants will benefit from coming in each new week, as we will continue to grow and build upon experiences from week-to-week. But please feel free to join us at any time; it doesn’t matter which session you attend first.
The movement portion of the group is guided on a rotating schedule by Carey Sorenson, PhD, RYT - 200 and Courtney Steuer LCSW, CSAC, RYT - 200. The emotional and cognitive processing and skills building portion of the group is guided by Jaycie Westphal LPC - IT. Jaycie is currently supervised and in training with Dr. Carey Sorenson.
