An infrared sauna is a type of sauna that uses light to create heat. A traditional sauna uses heat to warm the air, which in turn warms your body. An infrared sauna heats your body directly without warming the air around you. In an infrared sauna the temperature is not what is important, it is the exposure to the infrared.

Infrared Saunas are believed to have a parasympathetic healing effect, which means they help the body handle stress better. They’ve gained popularity for a huge array of benefits, including anti-aging effects, increased detoxification, pain reduction, joint and muscle support, and cardiovascular healing. They may assist in the handling all types of diseases from insomnia and depression to hormonal imbalances and autoimmune disorders.

 
 

Each infrared sauna session is booked for a 1 – hour time slot.

Please email coordination@beholisticcenter.com to schedule your appointment.

This allows you time to get settled, heat up the sauna, and begin to relax.

Be. requests that you wear a towel, bathing suit, or undergarments during your session.

Parents are welcome to accompany children in sauna if age appropriate.

Children under 6 are not allowed.

 
 

Appointment Cancellation & Late Arrival Policy

Infrared Sauna services cancelled or rescheduled less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time will be charged a cancellation fee equal to the reserved service amount. If 24 hour notice is not possible please call.

In order to provide you and or other guests with their full service, clients who arrive more than 15 minutes late may need to reschedule their appointment.

For all weekend specialty bookings we require credit card information upon booking. All weekend sessions will be charged prior to appointment time as weekend sessions are special accommodation bookings.

 
 
 

Recommended Length and Frequency

To begin 20 – 30 minute sessions are recommended. On average, once established most individuals partake in 30-45 minute sessions, 3-4 times a week. There is no one answer for the ‘optimal’ amount of sessions per week; however, infrared saunas are considered safe to use every day. Frequency should be considered based on your goals, it is indicated that wellness improvements will be experienced sooner if you use the sauna daily.
