Emily Valence
BE. CENTER & ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR
Hi, I’m Emily, and I am the Be. Center and Administrative Coordinator here at Be.!
I hold many positions at Be., but my favorite is greeting our clients when they enter. I love seeing them come into the space and take a deep breath. They usually settle in and reflect, feeling welcomed and comfortable – this is what we strive for at Be., and it’s what I love the most about what we do.
Individualized, holistic healing is the cornerstone of our collective. We recognize that healing is a whole body approach: mind, body, and spirit. That’s why a big part of my job is connecting clients with the practitioners that best fit their needs and goals.
There are many different ways to seek out healing and mental health support and so many service options. I’m here to help fully along the way, during the intake and scheduling process, and at any other point you might like some additional support. That’s why I also work behind the scenes on many Be. related projects, coordinating services, setting up client relations and supporting our collective of practitioners.
Working in a holistic mental health environment like Be. has given me resources to help not only our clients, but also myself as well. This intersection of my personal and professional journey created a calling in me to increase my knowledge and embody a nurturing, holistic approach to exploring and enjoying life. I began by seeking out and completing my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, which helped me fully appreciate how emotions and mental health have a physical impact on our entire beings. I experienced first-hand how yoga not only impacts the physical body, but also how our emotions and lived experiences are stored in our collective body, mind, and spirit. This deeper understanding now allows me to provide a more targeted approach when supporting the holistic mental health and wellbeing of our clients.
